Tom Lucy Plus One

  • Summary

  • The world of podcasts has been something that has come pretty recently to me. For months and months, I would hear people talk about podcasts. Podcast this. Podcast that. “Hey mate, hope you’re well, fancy being on my podcast?” The word podcast has been lingering around the fringes of my life for far too long. Sometimes it would get too much. Some days I just felt like turning to the world and saying “Enough with the bloody podcasts!”. Of course, I never did say this. But then I started listening to podcasts and well, bugger me, I really bloody enjoyed them. So much so that I now have a podcast. What a life. This podcast is very much as the title suggests. It’s me talking to someone else. Another person. A person who works in a creative industry - music, comedy, film, writing, acting, television. Whatever it is. If they've got a creative occupation and a flexible calendar, then I'm going to talk to them for this podcast. I really hope that the conversations we have are interesting and manage to shine a light on the creative process and a life in the arts. I really enjoyed being a part of them. Christ, I'm boring myself now. What a millennial prick. Do me a favour, listen to the podcast. Cheers, Tom.

A PICNIC IN THE PARK WITH JOE

My final guest of the series is the brilliant comedian and my good friend Joe Lycett!

We sat under a tree in Primrose Hill and had a picnic and a bloody good chat.

We'll be back with Series 2 in the autumn but you can listen back to all the previous guests in Series 1 whilst you wait and keep telling your mates about the show. As always thanks to the people who make the podcast happen - Joel Grove, Will Shehadeh and Rick Hughes.

    See you soon.

    BETTER IN YELLOW

My guests (yes guests, plural) this week are Ferris & Sylvester - a brilliant up and coming musical duo.

Issy Ferris and Archie Sylvester have already together attracted a lot of attention in the music business with their songs including 'Better In Yellow' and 'London Blues' and are currently touring and supporting some of the biggest acts in the world. I had a great chat with them at their South London flat.

As always, thanks to the people who help - Joel Grove, Will Shehadeh and Rick Hughes.

We sit down and chat about his career and the acting industry.
