This will be comedy in 2004 (Mine All Mine ep. 3)

  • Summary

  • Welcome to podcasting on extreme difficulty! We've joked about serious stuff, but now we're having a serious chat about the jokes that get out of hand. Zac and Louis are back to talk about episode 3 of Mine All Mine, and how the moment Claire becomes an antagonist, the fatphobia rears its ugly head. We also discuss how the show lets down its female characters in this episode, even Maria who we really liked up until this point. We discuss potential counter-arguments to our scathe and the places where they break down, and debate how you should actually go about criticising media from "a different time". It's not all doom and gloom though, because those scenes with the Eggman were class!

Louis Davies and Zac Copeland-Greene are watching every TV show created by Russell T Davies... almost. From Queer as Folk to It's a Sin, The Second Coming to Nolly, everything except a certain science fiction programme already the focus of an abundance of podcasts. Tune in for laughs, analysis, and criticism of possibly the UK's most iconic TV writer.
