  • Summary

  • Hey, hi, hello and welcome to This Lil Life (TLL) - a podcast that shares the stories and experiences that unite us all. I created TLL to have thoughtful, empathetic, and honest conversations about (amongst other things) mental health, fitness, education, spirituality, relationships and sex. My hope for This Lil Life is to work towards breaking down stigma and shame. I'll be dropping a new episode into your podcast feed of choice every Sunday. Some weeks I'll be popping into your ears all by myself, while others will be an interview or simply a conversation between friends. If you would like to keep up-to-date with the behind the scenes of This Lil Life, please follow me on Instagram: @this.lil.life_ The song you can hear in the intro and outro of the show is Airae's 'It Can Be Done'. Hey, hi, hello, and welcome to This Lil Life (TLL) - a podcast that shares the stories and experiences that unite us all. In today's episode, I chat with my friend and housemate, Em. We talk about handling homesickness in lockdown, staying present and sane in a pandemic, and finding the joy in every day.

Apologies for the differences in audio level between Em and I. It was the first time I'd recorded with someone face-to-face in a very long time; it's a learning process, and I'll keep trying to improve the audio quality.

  • From the Archive - Benjamin Law
    Sep 18 2021

Hey, hi, hello, and welcome to This Lil Life (TLL) - a podcast that shares the stories and experiences that unite us all. In today's episode, I share an interview that I did a little over six years ago with Australian writer, journalist and broadcaster Benjamin Law. Ben discusses (amongst other things) how he got into writing, the pieces he's most proud of, whether or not he'd do a TedTalk again, his advice for teens who are exploring their sexuality, and his stance on the marriage equality debate (bearing in mind that same-sex marriage was not legalised in Australia until the end of 2017).

The catch is, however, that I have not listened to the interview since I did it. So, I pop in and out of your ears throughout the interview with my response to Ben's answers and reaction to 15-year-old Lily's interviewing skills (or lack thereof).

If you would like to know more about Ben and his work, you can visit his website (https://benjamin-law.com/) or follow him on Twitter and Instagram (@mrbenjaminlaw).

Hey, hi, hello, and welcome to This Lil Life (TLL) - a podcast that shares the stories and experiences that unite us all. In today's episode, I chat to *Annie who fell pregnant when she was 16 and in her penultimate year of high school. Annie opens up about the 'tsunami' of emotions she felt when she found out that she was pregnant, how she processed the abortion at the time, and her perspective on her choice now, more than five years later.

The song that is the intro and outro to the podcast is Airae's 'It Can Be Done'. You can check it out here: https://www.epidemicsound.com/track/BNFvEGigJE/
