The one about birth trauma ft Illiyin Morrison (Mixing up Motherhood)

  • Summary

  • Welcome to Episode 13 of the Game is the Game. I've been fortunate in life to meet an array of inspirational individuals across varied professions. The Game is the Game is an opportunity for them to tell their stories and hopefully inspire others to find their calling.

On this episode I sit down with Illiyin Morrison (Mixing up Motherhood)

Illiyin is a midwife, birth debrief facilitator, author and mother of two. She qualified as a midwife in 2017 and went on to work in a busy south London hospital. Upon leaving clinical work she embarked on a journey to support those in the perinatal trauma.

In this episode we spoke about everything from difficulty with conception, to miscarriage, still birth and difficult birth, postnatal, infant feeding and relationship difficulties.

This was an eye-opening and raw conversation that was as much a learning experience for me as I hope it will be for the listener.
