    Charley Boorman is a British television presenter, travel writer, and actor.

    He's best known for his adventurous motorcycle journeys, particularly the "Long Way" series he undertook with actor Ewan McGregor.

    In 2006 Charley undertook his most challenging TV project, to enter the Dakar Rally in Africa.

    The documentary series "Race to Dakar" followed Boorman's journey, capturing the highs and lows of his training and the gruelling race itself. Despite facing numerous challenges, including a serious crash that left him with broken bones, Boorman persevered and completed several stages of the rally.

    Ultimately, he had to withdraw from the race due to his injuries, but his experience and determination made "Race to Dakar" a compelling and inspiring story.

    Charley shares with us some of the best stories and some of the tings going on behind the scenes that never made it into the TV programme.

    Patsy Quick is an English off-road motorcycle racer who became the first British woman to complete the Dakar Rally in 2006. Her journey to this milestone was marked by both triumph and disaster. In her initial attempt at the Dakar in 2003, she was involved in a life-threatening accident that forced her withdrawal from the race. Despite this setback, Quick's resilience and determination led her back to the Dakar in 2006, where she ultimately achieved her goal of finishing the gruelling endurance race.

    Following her successful Dakar Rally finish, Patsy established Desert Rose Racing. The company leverages her extensive off-road racing experience to provide comprehensive training and support to aspiring rally riders. The academy offers a range of programs, from introductory courses for beginners to advanced training for seasoned riders aiming to compete in challenging events like the Dakar Rally. Desert Rose Racing has become a renowned name in the off-road motorcycle world, guiding and empowering riders to achieve their own adventurous goals.
