  • The Fall of Constantinople in 1453 and the Ottoman rule over Greece, caused hundreds of Greeks to migrate to Great Britain or Germany. There, they built strong communities around their language and religion. Great Britain and Germany are once again popular destinations for Greek migrants seeking better career prospects. While these communities flourish, there are often challenges in preserving their ethnic identity and culture. - Η Μεγάλη Βρετανία και η Γερμανία αποτέλεσαν το καταφύγιο για εκατοντάδες Έλληνες που ήθελαν να ξεφύγουν από τον τουρκικό ζυγό. Εκεί δημιούργησαν μία δυνατή ομογενειακή βάση, γύρω από την κοινότητα και την ορθοδοξία.
