    In today's episode, we're going to interview Author Julie Elkins. She lost a business in California and relocated to Connecticut with her husky Thunder (but they call him "Wubbs"). Thunder's Grand Adventure is the first in a series that she will be writing over the next few years. As a mom of 2, she always loved reading books to her kids.

    Her hope is to encourage young readers to learn and grow with Thunder through his many hilarious mishaps while learning how to navigate the world around him.

    One of her kids always had a difficult time adapting to new situations and she realized how powerful identifying with a character through books could be to cope with life's various transitions.

  • Interview with Author Caryn Lee

    In today's episode, we're going to interview Author Caryn Lee. She was born to write thrilling novels. Growing up in a home surrounded by books of diverse subjects, it was easy to develop a love of reading. Her affinity for reading grew into a literacy collection at warp speed that even surprised her. She decided to try her hand at penning her own novel, thus, her hit series, "Blackbone", was created. Caryn has since added children's books to her repertoire writing her first children's book, " An Adventure in Magical Unicorn Land".

    Caryn has been rewarded for her writing, being honored as one of UBAWA's (Urban Books, Authors & Writers of America) Top 100 authors in 2017, 2018 and 2020. Presently, Caryn has several successful novels and does not plan on giving up her love or pen of writing anytime soon.

  • Interview with Author Ashley Eddy

    In today's episode, we're going to interview Author Ashley Eddy. Ashley was born and grew up in Sulphur, Louisiana. She and her husband moved to Texas in 2009 where they have lived in the Houston Metro area ever since. Together they have three children, two boys and one girl, all born in Texas.

    Ashley started writing poetry and short stories in elementary school. Despite the encouragement of her teachers and family, Ashley never sought to publish her work.

    After her second son was diagnosed with Autism at age 2, she started to write again as a way to keep track of her son’s progress. When she wrote the poem “I am normal and so are you”, she never expected to publish it. Now she has taken it a step further and it is also published in Spanish, ‘¡soy normal y tú también!’

    With one more children’s book and a novel in the works, Ashley works with the PTA, volunteers with Disability Book Week, and still has time to play at the park after school every day.

She is an Arkansas native that is a dynamic mother of two beautiful daughters, a loving wife, poet, postpartum doula, and an Army Veteran. Grace discovered poetry when she was 10 years old as a means of self-expression and a tool to help overcome the hardships she was facing. After her eldest daughter was diagnosed with Sickle Cell Disease, Grace would turn her attentions to being an advocate for maternal services and bringing awareness to children living with various conditions. Grace Holloman is an Arkansas native that is a dynamic mother of two beautiful daughters, a loving wife, poet, postpartum doula, and an Army Veteran. In her spare time, she fishes with her husband, Cyle, and speaks nonsense with her 3-year-old daughter, Harper, and her 18-month-old son, Henry.
