He serves as the executive director of the Mindsight Institute and is a founding co-director of the Mindful Awareness Research Center at UCLA. He earned his degree from Harvard Medical School and completed his postgraduate training at UCLA, specializing in pediatrics, adult, adolescent, and child psychiatry.
