  • The Centre Pompidou was built by two young architects, Renzo Piano and Richard Rogers, the winners of a competition sent to 20,000 architects worldwide.

    The construction of this museum of modern and contemporary art restored Paris to its position as an artistic capital.

    However, its realization was not without difficulties. The building has evolved since its initial design proposals.

    The Centre Pompidou will close in 2025 for 5 years of renovations.
