  • Busting Myths and False Solutions to Plastic Pollution: Bioplastics? Ecobricks? Waste-to-Energy? Greenwashing?
    Nov 2 2021

False solutions are often presented so well that we thought they are helpful but do not really address the plastic problem at the source. Usually, they just delay the inevitable and even cause other forms of pollution and pose new risks.

Together with Marian Ledesma of Greenpeace Philippines, Yobel Putra of the Global Alliance for Incinerator Alternatives (GAIA), and Nusa Urbancic of Changing Markets Foundation, we talk about supposed solutions that need clarifying.

This episode will also discuss realistic ways forward and together with Seema Prabhu of Trash Hero, we will outline some guiding questions to help spot false solutions and better ways to address the plastic crisis.
