As a child, she experienced the trauma of sexual abuse, which led to her becoming a runaway in the early 2000s. She was forced to navigate life after her extended family estranged deeply rooted in generational trauma and loss of her dad by suicide. 

Despite the odds, she found a way to rebuild her life and channel her experiences into something positive.

After years of hard work and dedication, our host started a nonprofit organization to support the families of the missing and help them heal. Her organization has since grown into a thriving community that provides vital support to missing persons families and victims of trauma all over the country.

And that's not all - she’s become host of this very podcast, where she shares stories of hope, healing, and resilience while searching for the lost from families, survivors, and advocates around the world.

"Remembering the Life of a Young Girl Taken Too Soon"

The case of Serenity McKinney, a 4-year-old girl from Kentucky, has been a heartbreaking reminder of the importance of protecting our children. Serenity's life was tragically cut short, allegedly at the hands of her own mother and her boyfriend. Serenity's bright personality and infectious smile brought so much joy to those who knew her. Her paternal grandmother, Melody Roller, fondly remembers her granddaughter's love for dance and dressing up in her princess outfits. She loved to be the center of attention and had a natural talent for making people laugh.

The death of Serenity McKinney has brought attention to the issue of child abuse and neglect, and the need for better protection and support for our most vulnerable children. As a community, we must come together to demand justice for Serenity and to ensure that no child ever has to suffer as she did.

You can contact your local child protective services agency or law enforcement to report your concerns. By speaking up and taking action, we can help prevent future tragedies like the one that claimed the life of Serenity McKinney.
