  • After Arthur Munroe’s grisly death, the narrator’s mental state starts to break down.

    Now convinced that what he is hunting (and what is hunting him) is an angry spirit, he digs in an ancient grave. As he does, we learn the history of the mysterious Martense family.

    But instead of a corpse, he discovers the entrance to a network of underground tunnels. And as he explores them, he finally comes face to face with the Fear.
