Welcome to the keptn show. You might be wondering what is Keptn exactly. Keptn pronounced as Captain - is a control plane for DevOps automation of cloud-native applications. Are you facing difficulties in deploying applications in your CI/CD pipeline? Or even are you facing challenges like having multiple tools to build, test, deploy and monitor your application? Keptn is the solution for these challenges and complexities. With Keptn you can deploy your application with ease and hassle-free. It has the ability to test your builds and take decisions on the basis of the SLIs you have provided, whether to deploy the application build to the next stage or to reject the build. This is not it, Keptn also has so many integrations which can be used to integrate with your CI/CD tools, Observability tools, and Incident management tools as well.

Consider a scenario where you have a build that needs to be deployed tomorrow and you are using tools like Azure DevOps, Puppet, Prometheus, and many more to get that build successfully delivered to production. Now, to check the status of the build once it is pushed to delivery you have to go and check each tool and see what is happening with the build. If you have Keptn, it automates each stage of your application delivery and you don’t have to check every tool you are using for the status. You can simply log in to Keptn bridge and see the status of your build.
