  • Summary

  • Welcome to the Holderness Family Podcast! On Facebook and YouTube we are known as The Holderness Family. We make those silly songs and skits with our kids, but on this podcast, it's just us... the real us. The non-Christmas-jammies-us, the why-can't-my-socks-be-on-the-kitchen-counter-us (Penn) the why-do-I-have-to-go-outside-and-talk-to-people-us (Kim). On this podcast, we will share the real-life ups and downs of living together, working together, raising kids together, in what we hope is a funny and entertaining way. We will be taking questions that we are likely unqualified to answer (absolutely unqualified to answer) but we are hoping that the show will make all of your beautiful families realize you're not alone. You're not alone. We are all a hot mess... a HolderMess. The HolderMess: the Holderness Family PodcastThank you for subscribing and listening!Hosted by Kim & Penn HoldernessProduced by Max Trujillo

  • Living By Airport Rules
    Nov 19 2024

We experienced our first "last" recently with having a senior in high school. That coupled with some stressful weeks had me living by airport rules. What are airport rules? I am so glad you asked. This week on the podcast, we give life updates and discuss airport rules (and why they should be temporary - like being in an airport.) Penn also shares his top 5 best and worst things at an airport... and it gets personal.

  • Christmas Will Fix It
    Nov 12 2024

Throughout my life (especially during COVID) I have learned that when life gets heavy, my defense mechanism is Christmas. Something about burying yourself in holiday cheer makes everything better. It has taken a long time for Penn to understand and embrace my need for Christmas. As soon as Halloween ends, Christmas begins.

This week we invite our producer Ann Marie Taepke onto the show for some laughs. We play some games around Hallmark movies, decide what the best Thanksgiving side is, and Penn tells us his Top 5 underrated Christmas songs. At the end of the day, we hope this podcast makes you smile.

  • Missing Boring Elections with Pantsuit Politics
    Nov 5 2024

We are releasing this podcast on Election Day 2024, because we need some political therapy. Over the past couple presidential elections, the stakes are feeling higher and higher. I personally don't believe our bodies were made to handle all the constant information and stress in American politics. (Don't you remember when politics used to be boring?) This week we invited back Sarah Stewart Holland and Beth Silvers from the top-rated podcast, Pantsuit Politics, to discuss the state of our nation and how we move forward. Learn more about Sarah and Beth here: https://www.pantsuitpoliticsshow.com/
