For this is the love of God, that we keep Hiscommandments; and His commandments are not burdensome” and John 14:15 “Ifyou love Me, you will keep My commandments.”3. Matthew 22:39 “The second is like it, You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”4. Matthew 5:3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”5. John 1:1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Wordwas God.”6. John 1:14 “And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory,glory as the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.”7. Matthew 27:26 “About the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying ELI,ELI, LAMA SABACHTHANI?” that is My God, My God Why Have You Forsaken Me?10. Matthew 27:50 “And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice and yielded up Hisspirit.”11. Luke 22:42b “…yet not My will, but Yours be done.”12. Phillipians 2:5-8 “Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus,who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God athing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bondservant, andbeing made in the likeness of men. Being found in appearance as a man, Hehumbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on across.”13. Job1:8 and 2:3a “Have you considered My servant Job? For there is no one like himon the earth, a blameless and upright man, fearing God and turning away fromevil”.14. We know that the Bible describes Job as:a. Righteous, spiritually mature, man who feared God (Job 1:1, 1:8 and 2:3)b. Father of seven sons and three daughters (Job 1:2 and 42:12).c. Owner of many herds, a wealthy man (Job 1:3 and 32:12).d. A priest to his family (Job 1:5).e. A wise husband and wise leader (Job 2:9 and 29:21-24).f. A man of prominence is his community (Job 29:7-11).g. A giving man who gave to the poor, windows, orphans, and strangers (Job 29:12-17and 31:32).15. James 5:11 “We count those blessed who endured. You have heard of theendurance of Job and have seen the outcome of the Lord’s dealings that the Lord isfull of compassion and is merciful.”16. Job 1:20-22 “Then Job arose and tore his robe and shaved his head and fell to theground and worshipped. “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I shallreturn there. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away. Blessed be the name ofthe Lord. Through all this Job did not sin nor did he blame God””17. Job 2:3b ”And he still holds fast his integrity, although you incited Me against him toruin him without cause.”18. The result of this calamity, Job suffered from:a. Painful boils (Job 2:7, 13; 30:17)b. Severe itching/irritation (Job 2:7,8)c. Great pain and grief (Job 2:13).d. Lost appetite (Job 3:24).e. Insomnia (Job 7:4).f. Worm and dust infested flesh (Job 7:5).g. Continual oozing of boils (Job 7:5).h. Hallucinations (Job 7:14).i. Decaying skin (Job 13:28).j. Teeth fell out (Job 19:20).k. Relentless pain (Job 30:17).l. Skin turned black (Job 30:30).m.Dramatic weight loss (Job 33:21).19.Job 2:9-10 “Then his wife said to him, “Do you still hold fast your integrity? CurseGod and die!” But he said to her, “You speak as one of the foolish women speaks.Shall we indeed accept good from God and not accept adversity?” In all of this Jobdid not sin with his lips.”20.Job 4:7-9 “Remember now, whoever perished being innocent? Or where were theupright destroyed? According to what I have seen, those who plow iniquity (sin) andthose who sow trouble harvest it. By the breath of God, they perish, and by the blastof His anger they come to an end.”21.Job 5:8 “But as for me, I would seek God, and I would place my cause before God.22.Job 6:4 “For the arrows of the Almighty are within me. Their poison my spirit drinks;The terrors of God are arrayed against me.”23.Job 6:14 “For the despairing man there should be kindness from his friend; So thathe does not forsake the fear of the Almighty.”24.Job 7:20-21 “Have I sinned? What have I done to You, O watcher of men? Why haveYou set me as Your target, so that I am a burden to myself? Why then do You notpardon my transgression and take away my iniquity? For now, I will lie down in thedust; and You will seek me, but I will not be.”25.Job 8:6 “If you are pure and upright, surely now He would rouse Himself for you ...
