Jacob Hobson has quite the story on how he became a Bullpen Catcher for the Kansas City Royals. And that's why I love doing this podcast, as you have an opportunity to find out the 'story behind the story' if you will.

From a call from his dad to a staff member at Cal State Fullerton, to now helping at the Arizona facility for the Royals as he helps the pitchers who are rehabbing and getting back to playing shape, Jacob has quite the journey as a bullpen catcher.

We'll get to learn about what that position even is. To be honest, before I spoke with him, I literally didn't even realize that was an actual position. I assumed other catchers just simply helped out in the bullpen but there is actually an opportunity with that particular position and it's amazing to see where it's taken him.

In our episode we'll not only learn about the ins and outs of the position, but we'll hear of some of the cool experiences Jacob has had since doing this. Where he's played at, what players he's worked alongside and helped out, and much much more.
