The Exorcism of Roland Doe Pt 1

  • Summary

  • We asked, you answered, we delivered! Today we are covering the true story behind the inspiration for the movie The Exorcist. The Exorcism of Roland Doe was once a story simply passed on by word of mouth, until construction workers made a legendary discovery. Before tearing down the old Alexian Brothers Hospital in St. Louis Missouri, they discovered a locked room containing a desk. Inside the desk held the diary of Father Bishop, one of many who participated in the exorcism of a young boy, dubbed Roland Doe. This first half of the story details the days leading up to the sanctioned Catholic exorcism done on this young 13 or 14 year old boy. Grab a blanket, and a drink and let's dive in!
