Diane Richardson shares her story of perseverance in life and acting. She is an inspiration to never give up and to work hard at doing what you love. Here’s her bio in her own words: My name is Diane Richardson from Appleton, Wisconsin. My previous career for 23 years was as a Special Educator in the public school system in Wisconsin and California. Following that, my life was interrupted in many challenging ways which I finally rose above and God blessed me with a career in the antique business, as well as my current professional acting profession. Now my main focus is acting. I began my new acting career at age 55 and in less than 10 years have been in 17 films, 9 commercials, 2 TV Series, and commercial modeling. I have another TV Series, 2 films, and a PSA on the horizon. My initial training was with AMTC(Actors, Models, and Talent for Christ). Then I joined Inspiring Actors to train with many in the industry, and recently I trained with Baron Brown Studios of LA. I just completed my first role as a teacher in the Film Silent Courage which was made by an Austism Academy of the Arts to break the negative stigma of this population and emphasize their positive traits. This will release soon. My biggest role was in the film The Author, the Star, and the Keeper directed by Steven Zambo. It shows the challenging relationship between an Father with dementia and famous son. It is very entertaining with some lightheartedness and a powerful message. I had a quirky role as a nursing home resident with dramatic as well as a somewhat comical role. My experience on set was the most challenging because I was asked to quickly fill in at the last minute for a lady that had to be hospitalized which meant quick memorization as well as creating the character. I was on set within a couple days and landed the role well. Quite the accomplishment. I have been determined from the get go in my acting career because it has become an opportunity to shine a bright light in a dark industry. I believe I can impact many lives through family friendly and positive films. My great faith is reflective in my work and life. I have had many life changing experiences for the better and God has been using me to help others in many regards. I know I have and continue to make a difference in this world. I will continue to put forth my greatest efforts into my career as well as keep a strong balance in my life which includes my faith, social and family life, learning, and work. This is my 4th interview and I have been recently blessed with 3 others. My hope is to continue to impact lives and plant seeds of joy.
