  • Biden's pathetic farewell speech; Supreme Court (5-4) won't stay NY Judge Merchan from sentencing Trump.
    Jan 19 2025

President Joe Biden leaves office with an all-time low approval rating. He doesn't get it; he doesn't recognize his many mess ups. Biden's farewell speech was pathetic.
The Supreme Court would not issue stay to prevent NY Judge Juan Merchan from sentencing Trump. Of course the sentence was no fine, no prison time, and no conditions--just a total discharge. But Merchan insisted on the sentence to make Trump a felon. I suspect that will change on appeal; the Supreme Court felt Trump could proceed with an appeal to address that. Frankly, the Court should have taken the case to make the point that a state cannot try to regulate and punish a presidential candidate for violating state laws that actually conflict with federal campaign regulations. This is what we call a preemption and preclusion issue. Chief Justice Robert and Justice Barrett should have voted with the other four conservative Justices to make a definitive statement about this.

    Dec 12 2024

On December 4, 2024, the US Supreme Court held oral arguments in the Tennessee case regarding a law that prohibits the use of hormone therapy and puberty blockers to attempt to change one's gender. This is an important national issue. The arguments made and their implications are discussed.
We also discuss the acquittal of Daniel Penny in the NY subway case where Penny chocked a crazed black man (Neely) who was threatening subway passengers.

  • Dems in disarray after Election; Trump's cabinet picks; Pres. Biden pardons Hunter
    Dec 4 2024

Trump's election victory marked a shift in the views of a majority of Americans to supporting Trump's agenda--this is responsible for major changes in America. The Democrats are discombobulated after losing the Election they thought they would win.
Trump's cabinet picks are wonderful, and they are upsetting Democrats.
Pres. Biden's pardon of his son Hunter is upsetting both Democrats and Republicans. The exceeding breadth of the pardon is very unusual, and it is geared to protect Joe Biden, too.
Trump is already acting to influence international affairs. Trump threatens the Hamas in Gaza to release the hostages or else they will have Hell to pay.
