This was actually the very first Walt Disney Cinderella, and man was it fascinating to watch. It was also bizarrely streamlined and cohesive, given the weirdness we've come to expect from the early animations. Still there was definitely enough nightmare fuel and rabbit holes to go around in this, our Ragtime Cinderella!

Here it is, everyone, the SmashCut Cinderella. Every single cut is a smashcut. It hurt so bad. We had to take several sanity breaks during this one, and none of them restored as much sanity as we really really REALLY needed them to.

Anyways, we hope you enjoy this episode so much more than we enjoyed this movie.

    May 30 2023

We're calling this one the "Steamboat Willie" Cinderella, because apparently, we can't call it the "Terrytoons returns from the grave to punish us further" Cinderella. But this is our old pal old buddy Paul Terry coming back again somehow and it's ... weird and surreal and rather unpleasant but at least it's short. Listen further if you'd like to hear us have multiple lengthy meltdowns about Staircases.
