  • Repeat after me… “proft is not a dirty word”.

In this episode of At The Barre we’re talking all things money with studio owner Kaitlin Hague. As a studio owner, it can be difficult to reconcile your ‘calling’ as a teacher and mentor with the financial reward that SHOULD come with running a successful business. On the daily, we can be faced with parents who wonder why they’re being charged an ‘admin fee’ on top of the costume or competition entry and even employees who might not fully ‘get’ the actual cost of running a studio.

This isn’t just a conversation about numbers though and certainly not one just for studios of a certain size. We also talk mindset and how we can start changing our own relationship with money.
