Merry Christmas everyone! In today’s chapter we read: Healing of a Man on the Sabbath, The Parable of the Wedding Feast, The Parable of the Great Banquet, The Cost of Discipleship, Salt Without Taste Is Worthless.

Merry Christmas everyone! My prayer is that you’re finding joy in this time of celebration and are letting Christ change your hearts for the better.

A summary of today’s chapter: Repent or Perish, The Parable of the Barren Fig Tree, A woman with a Disabling Spirit, The Mustard Seed and the Leaven, The Narrow Door, Lament over Jerusalem.

Merry Christmas!!! In today’s chapter we are learning a bunch from Jesus about how we should be as children of God. He tells us to beware the hypocrisy of those who say to do one thing but do another. Do not fear man who can only kill your body but fear God who can cast you into hell but realize that you are incredibly valuable to Him! Jesus tells us to acknowledge Him before man and to not count on tomorrow but store up treasure in Heaven. Also, don’t be anxious about what is to come, eat or drink. You belong to God, not the world and He knows what you need. Jesus tells us to be ready for His return always! He also lets us know that He hasn’t come to bring peace but to bring division. He implores us that if we can interpret the weather then we should be able to see that the Kingdom of God is here! Finally He tells us that we should settle our disputes with one another.

Merry Christmas! We are reading Luke chapters 10-11 today for the Luke Christmas Challenge. We’re all caught up from being away for work. Today we read about a lot of highlights like the Good Samaritan, we learn about Martha and Mary and what truly matters in this life, the shorter version of the Lord’s Prayer, and then Jesus puts some Pharisee and lawyers in their place. It’s good to know that we serve a King who will stand up for us and loves us.

Merry Christmas! We are continuing getting caught up with our Christmas Challenge with chapters 8-9. In these chapters Luke emphasizes how Jesus reached out to women and minorities in His ministry and calls everyone to a relationship with Him. Our Teacher also instructs us to take up our cross daily and to follow Him and to let go of the things of this world.

Reading Luke 6-7 today. These chapters focus a lot of the power of Jesus and His forgiveness of our sins. During advent I think it is important to stop and thank God for giving us the hope in eternal life that we have in Jesus Christ.
