In 1995, my father lost his leg to diabetic infection in his foot. Years later he lost the functionality of his kidney and was faces with dialysis before losing everything in Hurricane Katrina. He never gave up his faith in God an continued to tell his story of healing in his body.

Thank you for joining us to listen into this audio documentary of my father Mr. Philip Slack Sr. This is the audio pulled from the documentary film titled “WALK WITH ME”. My father Philip Slack Sr was an anointed Gospel saxophonist who played in the church all his life. He was an inspiration to many people including myself. I witnessed my father display a relationship with God as he lead my family through good and bad times. While creating this film my father passed away and left a true legacy for me and my family to always remember him. I spoke with my dad before I got on a flight from Paris, France and his words were “You know you can talk to God anytime... morning, noon and at night”. He also said to me “even though God has all these people to see about he still gonna make time for little ole you”. Well my flight got into New Orleans the night of January 2, 2009 my Father was up waiting for me to come to the house but I had fell asleep at my sisters house and woke up to a phone call January 3 to learn of his death. Even though my dad is gone he never spoke death during his life. My dad lived as long as God wanted him to live he lived life as a true man of God who always said...”I’m not walking by myself God is walking with me”. He was a true leader who loved his family and pushed pass his sickness to give everyone his testimony of life and healing. My dad is resting well and I know this down in my heart. I thank God for giving me such wonderful parents. Enjoy this audio version of a video documentary produced in late 2008.

A mother of 14 children became a mother at the young age of 14 and gave birth to her last child four years ago at the age of 41. With many ups and downs she was able to push pass the pain of not having her own mother by her side. Her quest to inspire young mother's, grown mother's and all mother's is to love and support your children because kids really need their parents. Through much prayer, therapy and self-care she has found a way back into her mother's life to simply communicate and push past the hurt and move forward.
