  • Hay distintas virtudes morales o éticas según distintas formas de comportamiento o distintos bienes, aunque no hay que olvidar la profunda unidad entre ellas. Pueden señalarse dos grupos de virtudes: unas básicas o predispositivas, que favorecen las acciones buenas (unas virtudes generales y otras en función de la especificidad humana); y otras cardinales o regulativas, que dirigen el obrar (prudencia, justicia, fortaleza y templanza). Los vicios capitales radican en la concupiscencia o en el orgullo.
