  • El relato bíblico de la creación dedica particular atención a la creación del primer hombre y de la primera mujer. El ser humano aparece como la coronación y el centro de la obra divina creadora. La aparición del hombre no constituye una simple prolongación del proceso creativo. Supone, por el contrario, una cierta solución de continuidad respecto a las acciones creadoras anteriores y se presenta como resultado de un designio y una especial iniciativa del Creador. El ser humano está creado a imagen y semejanza de Dios, con una misión particular y con una particular relación con el Creador.
