  • En esta carta se percibe una llamada apremiante a mantenerse fiel a la

    enseñanza recibida y a la propia vocación, sobreponiéndose a las dificul-

    tades, por grandes que sean, sin miedo a la muerte. La doctrina confiada

    por Dios a san Pablo en «depósito», este la había entregado íntegra a Ti-

    moteo, para que él, por su parte, la guardara y la enseñase sin menosca-

    bo. A la vez, Pablo le trasmite su «enseñanza» sobre el modo de organizar

    los ministerios en la Iglesia y de mantener la pureza de la fe frente a las

    doctrinas predicadas por los falsos maestros.
