"TAKE ME UP" BY THE JON HILL PROJECT: ADDICTION, LOSS, AND TRAGEDY

  • Summary

  • In the quirky town of Podville, Moose and Selso were on a mission to throw the most epic Halloween party ever. Their planning committee included their hilarious friends Art, Zach, and Zeke.
    The Plan:
Moose, known for his dramatic flair, decided they needed a theme. "How about 'Monster Mash Bash'?" he suggested, pulling on a Dracula cape for inspiration.
Selso, the practical prankster, chimed in, "And we can have a haunted house maze in the garage!" He already had a shopping cart full of fake cobwebs and rubber spiders.

    The Committee Meeting:
They gathered at Moose’s place for a brainstorming session. Art, dressed as a zombie, was in charge of decorations. "I’ve got a ton of spooky lights and fog machines," he said, his eyes lit up with excitement.
Zach, the resident foodie, was tasked with snacks. "Pumpkin spice everything," he declared, "and a cauldron of witch's brew punch."

Zeke, ever the tech wizard, offered, "I’ll handle the music and special effects. Think eerie soundscapes and ghostly projections."
    The Preparation:
Days before the party, chaos ensued. Moose accidentally activated the fog machine in his living room, filling the entire house with mist. "Guess we’re living in a haunted mansion now," he joked, though he was barely visible through the fog.
Selso spent hours setting up the haunted maze, only to get lost in it himself. "Help! I’m trapped in my own creation," he texted the group, who showed up with flashlights and rescued him—after taking some embarrassing photos first.
Art turned the backyard into a graveyard, complete with tombstones and skeletons. One particularly lifelike skeleton scared the mailman, leading to a hilarious chase down the street.
    The Party:
On Halloween night, Podville residents flocked to Moose and Selso’s party. The haunted maze was a hit, especially when Zeke's ghostly projections made everyone jump out of their skins.
Zach's pumpkin spice creations were devoured, and the witch's brew punch was so potent, it turned the dance floor into a literal monster mash.
As midnight approached, they all gathered around for a spooky story, with Moose delivering it in his best Dracula voice. Suddenly, Selso’s prankster spirit took over, and he unleashed a remote-controlled bat, sending everyone into fits of laughter and mock terror.
    The Aftermath:
The party was deemed a roaring success. Podville hadn't seen such Halloween chaos in years. The friends sat in the aftermath of fog and faux cobwebs, toasting to their triumph with leftover punch.
"Next year, we're going even bigger," Moose declared, still wearing his Dracula fangs.
"And I’ll make sure not to get lost in my own maze," Selso laughed.
And thus, Moose, Selso, Art, Zach, and Zeke cemented their place as the ultimate Halloween party planners of Podville, already buzzing with ideas for next year’s spooky extravaganza.
    The end. 🎃🕸️👻✨
