Supporting Men from Domestic Violence to Beautiful Relationships

By: greg martin
  • Summary

  • Helping men with their emotional regulation, anger management and domestic violence. What do you do when the Big Emotions come in our intimate relationships? We explore what is means to be a man in the world of today - it can get confusing. Supporting men who have experienced domestic violence is crucial in fostering their journey towards healing and ultimately forming beautiful, healthy relationships. It’s important to first acknowledge that men, like women, can be victims of domestic violence, and their experiences are equally valid and deserving of support. Providing a safe space where they can share their stories without fear of judgment is essential. Access to professional counseling and support groups can help them process their trauma and rebuild their confidence. Education on recognizing and setting healthy boundaries is also vital, as it empowers men to foster relationships based on mutual respect and trust. Encouraging open communication and emotional expression can further help in developing deeper, more meaningful connections. Through these supportive measures, men can move beyond their past experiences and cultivate loving, respectful, and beautiful relationships.

    Supporting men with:

    • anger management
    • emotional regulation
    • use of domestic violence
    • relationship skills.

The podcast title has the words – Beautiful Relationships.

And so … I would like to spend some time defining this.

This is our destination; we need to know more about our destination.

If we believe in the destination, then we are drawn to it and our mind starts working on it, and we start making decisions that travel in this direction.

Visualise it and your mind will send you there.

You will start making decisions that send you to a visualised goal.

    So ...

I have listed 12 elements that make up a beautiful relationship.

It’s not a comprehensive list, but it is a good start.

These 12 items are 12 tasks to focus on, to practise, there is no change unless you practise these items over and over again.

Supporting men with emotional disregulation, anger management and domestic violence.

In this episode we discuss the traffic light as a tool to keep us from falling into Reaction-Mode

“If you add up all those two seconds, it makes all the F’en between WINNING AND LOSING.

“It can be the difference in the game between having a great relationship or no relationship.

“We tear ourselves apart to get these two seconds.

    “This is how we win."
