• The Book of Ruth: The Blessing of Bethlehem (2/5)
    Feb 10 2025

Last week, we began our study of the book of Ruth. We acknowledged that, at times, Moab can seem appealing. When the struggles in our lives cloud our view of God's faithfulness, it can be tempting to take a path that leads us further away from Him. We ended by asking an important question: “What one decision could you make; what one action can you take that would change the trajectory of your life and legacy?”

This week, Pastor Lydia Miller leads us as we explore what life can look like when you begin taking that step in the right direction.

We will discover the blessings Bethlehem holds for them—and the blessings your obedience could hold as well.

  • The Book of Ruth: When It's Time to Walk Away (1/5)
    Feb 3 2025

This week, we're starting a new series on the Old Testament book of Ruth. Have you ever noticed how we often define our lives by the big moments? Yet, much like the book of Ruth, our lives are made up of ordinary chapters. These moments may not seem significant at first, but in the end, they can change everything.

In this series, we’ll uncover the hidden beauty in life’s small moments.

As Pastor Jeff Moes kicks off this series in Ruth 1 this week, we want to challenge you with this thought: In order to get to the right place, you have to leave the wrong one. What do you need to let go of in order to get where God wants you to be? What one decision or action could change the trajectory of your life and legacy? Join us as we explore the book of Ruth.

  • Second Chances | The Story of Jonah: When Your Emotions Are Out of Control (4/4)
    Jan 27 2025

When it comes to the living out of your faith, do you ever sense that you’re just going through the motions? Or that you ever are doing something out of duty or obligation but really don’t want to do so? Yeah, me too.

Today, Pastor B.J. Van Kalsbeek wraps up our “Second Chances” series by looking at the last chapter of the book of Jonah. Walking through Jonah chapter 4, we’ll see that while Jonah’s actions were outwardly obedient, inwardly his heart was still heading a different direction. We’ll consider how this outward/inward mismatch happens in our lives too and the need for us to surrender our whole self to God.

  • Second Chances | The Story of Jonah: When God's Not Done (3/4)
    Jan 20 2025

Have you ever made a mistake and immediately wished you had a do-over? In the game of golf we call it a Mulligan, Pastor Jeff neither confirms nor denies he's ever taken one. But, don’t you wish there were Mulligans in life?

In the third episode of Second Chances, we are going to focus on the verse Jonah 3:1. It says,“The Word of the Lord came to Jonah a second time…” We will talk about how this has been a theme all throughout Scripture, and how God gives each of us a second chance when we mess up.

Join us as Pastor Jeff Moes takes a look at Jonah chapter three, and helps us discover that God allows Mulligans; He allows do-overs. He is the God of the second chance.

  • Second Chances | The Story of Jonah: When You're Waiting on God (2/4)
    Jan 13 2025

This week we continue in the story of Jonah by looking at chapter two. In this chapter, Jonah finally comes to the end of himself and begins to turn toward God in prayer. Specifically, we look at Jonah and how he prays back to God using His Word. Jonah took his own situation and translated it through scripture to speak to God. Join Pastor Jeff Moes as he walks us through how this could revolutionize your own prayer life.

  • Second Chances | The Story of Jonah (1/4)
    Jan 9 2025

The story of Jonah is probably one of the most well-known in all of scripture. Right up there with Noah and his ark, it has been played out on flannel graphs in Sunday School rooms countless times. It's likely that as you read this description, you could recount the major elements of the story of Jonah and the big fish. But, do you know the whole story?

To kick off 2025, we are starting a brand-new series studying the book of Jonah. Each week, we will study one of its four chapters – discovering together how the lessons that Jonah learned are lessons we might need, too. Listen in as Lydia Miller shares how our good and loving God pursues runaways like Jonah, and runaways like you and me.
