  • Strings Attached: JIM CLARK
    Jan 1 2025

Meet Jim Clark, not only a good friend of mine, but a fabulous rock player, great educator and now a coach for young working guitarists. He recently brought out a short eBook detailing some really interesting concepts about how to visualise the fretboard and give you the tools to play over literally anything. Here we dig into his background in teaching/playing and how this has fed into his interesting concepts about the fretboard 'conveyor belt' and much more.

  • Strings Attached: JOHN WHEATCROFT
    Dec 29 2024

I had the enormous pleasure of sitting down for a chat with the mighty John Wheatcroft. He's undoubtedly one of the finest guitarists in the UK, an absolute monster of a player in multiple styles and has an incredible wealth of knowledge about music which he generously shares. This is a meaty episode with loads of guitar playing from John, but it's not for the faint-hearted! There's enough here for 5-10 years worth of practice alone, so I'd suggest digesting it in chunks - that's what I'm gonna do anyway!
I managed to pick John's brains on outside playing and practice and he gives some great tips about how he's gone about practising, thinking & more importantly applying these concepts in the real world. You can literally ask John anything and he'll happily speak and demonstrate pure gold for hours. Enjoy this one, I did!
