  • Summary

  • Stephen Fry travels into the most remarkable place we know - our brain. The organ of knowledge and the one we know least about.

Over 12 episodes Stephen explores just how much we’ve learned about this mysterious structure in recent years and tries to answer some of the most difficult questions that remain.

To do this, we relay the discoveries and stories of neuroscientists, psychologists, anthropologists and even philosophers, to add illumination and perspective as we travel. Each episode will be full of brainy stories: some shocking, some thrilling, some scarcely believable.

So Important

It is so good to know Stephen Fry is supporting Neurodiversity. This has helped me to feel a little bit safer in this world. This is perfectly researched, up to date to the second. A bold and upstanding ally as he has always been.
Thank you to everyone behind this.

Essential listening easy to understand and beautifully presented

I’m a retired doctor and although I was aware of much of the information regarding our current brain function, less so on its evolution. Stephen Fry takes us on a fascinating journey from past to present and future. For someone nearing the tail end of their life, fearing the consequences of an ageing brain, there is help to stave off the more severe consequences of dementia. The insight into “The Spectrum” was particularly helpful. Thank you Stephen.

Incredibly interesting, masterfully narrated

This was an incredibly interesting insight into how our brains work explained and narrated by the brilliant Stephen Fry. What could be a dry and probably boring experience becomes and incredible well narrated, as entertaining as informative under Fry's extraordinary storytelling. Absolutely recommended for anyone with a curious mind.

Get rid of the clarinet

Props to the writer for providing many fascinating and informative insights that Fry shares with us in his totally entertaining and enjoyable fashion, as always.

Docked a star for the annoying clarinet that marked break points in each story.

Fascinating

Loved this series, so much so that I binged the lot! As usual SF does himself proud with an enthralling subject, entertaining and jaw dropping anecdotes. Stephen has a beautiful timbre to his voice, is expressive and clear and just so easy to listen to. Please sir, can I have some more!!
