Spiritual Dare

By: Katie Mason and Elan BenAmi
  • Summary

  • A Spiritual Dare is what emerges when two therapists trust the process. Are they dying their hair blue? Going to a Monster Truck Rally to make friends? Come along for the ride! Each week we invite a guest to give us a “Spiritual Dare”, which we define as daring us to do something that: *is good for us, *is playful, *pushes us out of our comfort zone *and helps us in our personal evolution. The 'Spiritual Dare' aspect came about unexpectedly, and we still don’t really know what we’ve gotten ourselves into... Help Katie & Elan face their personal evolution by sending in your own Spiritual Dare. For more about this podcast visit: SpiritualDare.com

  • S1E1 - 'Trust the Process'
    May 1 2024

Katie and Elan discuss trusting the process. Katie is silly and sad. Elan is afraid. They show up without a plan, just some intentions and fears. They think this podcast is going to be about People House (where they met) little do they know! Katie draws an icebreaker card (that is never used again) and gets a question from their fellow colleague Molly about bombing on stage.

  • S1E2 - 'A Spiritual Dare is Born'
    May 1 2024

A Spiritual Dare is born, but Katie and Elan don’t even really know it. They are hashing out an intro (that is eventually discontinued). Elan shares his trust issues and they discuss Paul Zweig stepping back from People House. Katie wants to lighten up and by 22.29 into the show they are entering the spiritual dare. “This podcast has taken a turn” Elan says at 27:06. But by 29:14 it’s spoken, “A Spiritual Dare is a dare that helps you evolve.”
