She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry, with a research focus on interim ministry and churches under leadership transition. Megan graduated from North Park Seminary in 2018 with an MA in Christian Formation; she also has a degree in Intercultural Studies from Dublin City University in Ireland, where she first felt God's call to pastoral ministry. Megan and her husband, Javier, met at River City and married in 2020. They live in the Albany Park neighborhood of Chicago.
