Humans have roughly 37.2 trillion cells in their body, one cells DNA contains about 4,000 books of 500 pages each of information and yet we simplify our bodies down to the way we look. In this episode we talk about body image, bodily awareness, bullying, and the societal pressures to look and be a certain way. We pass down the misunderstanding that the way we look informs how we see and feel about ourselves but it is actually the opposite. Bodily awareness starts from the inside, how we see ourselves starts from within. The definition of 'body image' is a person's thoughts, feelings and perception of their body. It has less to do with what we see and everything to do with how we see it and that how starts from within. Alexandria tells her personal story and struggles with weight, bullying, societal pressures and how it took her years to stop equating her outside appearance to her inner worth and value.
