Shortcut: A Police Veteran's Expertise on Street Gangs

  • Summary

  • This is a "Shortcut" episode. It’s a shortened version of this week’s more detailed full episode, which is also available on our feed.

Pat Boyle APM is a 47 year veteran of Victoria Police, who spent a large part of his career working as a Detective Inspector and Detective Superintendent with a focus on gang related crime.

He's also carved out a career for himself in academia, publishing a master's thesis entitled "What is a Street Gang?" It turns out the answer to that question is much more complicated that I imagined.
