• EP014: Delegating and Dark mode
    Nov 16 2022

Simon is getting ready to release the new Golang agent that will make backups possible behind firewall easily.

Volkan has added dark mode as designers seem to dislike the current UI.

Someone posted Versoly's Webflow alternative page to their subreddit and it got a little traction.

Simon gets his secret prototype working and beat the network bandwidth issue.

Simon finally reveals one of his secret projects as a Golang binary that will allow customers to bypass their firewalls and make it much easier to setup.

Cashflow is hard and Simon ran into an issue with it as freelancers shipped faster than expected eating into it quicker than planned.

Volkan has become a digital nomad in Turkey and is working slower than usual due to lack of 34inch screen, fast internet and proper work setup.

Volkan finished the backup solution for components and CMS items (blog posts), and had to cut scope to ship faster.

After feedback from customers that the UI can get a little confusing Volkan added a mini settings popup for important options.

Jamie is stuck working out why the sales demos aren't converting to paid customers even though they seem happy with the product.

They both discuss the extra paperwork required for running a SaaS and how having backend processes like good accounting may actually add value to the business with higher resell value if that times ever comes.

Simon got a prototype complete quickly but realised that it won't work as it isn't fast enough.

Volkan added backups for components and CMS items that customers can restore instead of having to go to support.

    Oct 6 2022

Simon is continuing to update marketing site to increase conversions. Lots of maintenance work from security management, to marketing site and fixes for his SaaS.

Simon is also working on a new backup type for a secret project that is a very large market and may require a new go to market approach.

Volkan did some customer interviews and was able to learn the aha moment for designers using the platform (Classes). So he has decided to double down and build features around this. Also these learnings will be added to the marketing site.

For developers Volkan has added VS Code into the platform using Monaco.
