  • Kat grew up in a small town where addiction was not talked about and hidden behind closed doors. After her Mother tragically passed from drinking and driving when she was 18 she realized that there was secret generational addiction on her maternal side. She never really thpught of herself as an addict herself because she did not drink everyday nor did it affect her life negatively. During the Pandemic she had someone threaten to leave her if she did not quit drinking. At first she got sober for someone else but now its for her. She is almost 3 years sober and has broken the generational cycle. She is a very strong and inspirational women.
