  • We got married and we were 19 years old. So my early 20s were a struggle because we had adult things to do when we weren’t really financially equipped to be adults. Those years were a big struggle, I was going to college and I was working. I’d go to school all day and I was working full-time at night, so yeah it was hard. It was hard but that’s kind of what set me on my current path.

    Shawn Petersen has been a part of 11|28 since early on. She first came out to a Sunday gathering within a few weeks of us getting started in late 2021. Shawn serves on our guest services team on Sunday mornings, and is always willing to help in other places as needed. She's found a group during the week, and was recently baptized at our "family reunion" in August!
