    Nov 11 2024
We explore Netflix’s new true-crime docuseries, This is the Zodiac Speaking (2024), to discuss whether Arthur Leigh Allen could be The Zodiac, though DNA (and other evidence) previously ruled him out as a suspect. We perform a language analysis on the first Zodiac letter and an accompanying envelope for visual clues and inconsistent patterns in his handwriting, as we try to pierce the mind of this elusive and notorious murderer. CW | TW: This episode discusses molestation and murder. Listener discretion is advised. • #TBT: Boo-ze & Busted: The Conjuring House
    Nov 7 2024
We update listeners on the recent DUI arrest of The Conjuring House owner, Jaqueline Nuñez, in the days following Police Chief Stephen Lynch’s rejection of her application to renew her business license that would have allowed her to continue offering overnight accommodations for visitors to the purportedly “haunted” house. Nuñez previously fired Brian Dansereau, a former employee at The Conjuring House, in Burrillville, RI, claiming the ghost of John Arnold, deceased since the 1800s, told her that Dansereau stole $3,000 from a cash box. She also made allegations against known paranormal investigators, Cody DesBiens and Satori Hawes. Our Severed Strange Stories, Ghosted & Fired episode, covers all the details. CW | TW: This episode discusses mental health, psychiatric hospitalization, and alleged drunk driving. Listener discretion is advised. Nov 4 2024
We roll up to a Dunkin’ drive-thru to deliver a case about needless and hapless assault on a pregnant woman, by 28-year-old, William Rodriguez, in East Haven, Connecticut. Rodriguez attempted to carjack the hapless, 4-month-pregnant woman, before sinking his teeth into a munchkin medic’s hand, while receiving treatment for the crime he perpetrated on innocent bystanders. It’s standard Severed fare with sprinkles. CW | TW: This episode discusses assault, attempted robbery, carjacking, and French crullers. American runs on Dunkin’ and danger in this episode. It’s Severed with a side of sprinkles. And, as the retro slogan goes, “Time to make the donuts!” Listener discretion is advised.
