  • “The Spirit-Filled Seven” (Acts 6:1-7)
    Oct 15 2024

What happens when conflict breaks out in the church? How can we peacefully resolve issues with fellow believers? Why is it important to squash grumblings in the church before the gossip spreads? How can disagreements in the church affect our witness in the community?q

In his sermon “The Spirit-Filled Seven,” centered on Acts 6:1-7, Pastor Josiah answered these questions and others like them as he explained the importance of being unified as a church around the gospel. Whenever issues or problems arise in the church, it is important that we seek reconciliation and understanding with others.

If left unchecked, small frustrations can become huge disagreements that split the church and destroy our Christian witness in the community. It is important that as believers, we look to Christ and seek to be more like Him each day.

  • “Kingdom Builders” (Acts 4:32-5:11)
    Oct 7 2024

Can the Gospel ever be thwarted? Can God ever fail? Can the Christian trust that God will see His Will accomplished?

Robbie Tschorn answers these questions and more in the sermon “God Cannot Be Stopped” (Acts 5:12-42).

God is always moving whether we see it or not. When opposition arises outside of and even within the church, the Christian can rest assured that God’s power will forever be on display and that He will see to it that the Good News of Jesus be advanced. Because of this, the Believer can have confident trust in the Lord - not letting worry over take them - and be empowered by the fact that God can and will use them to accomplish His will.

  • “Kingdom Builders” (Acts 4:32-5:11)
    Sep 30 2024

What does it look like to build the Kingdom of God? What happens when we start to build our own kingdom in opposition to God’s kingdom? How should we view the Holy Spirit in relation to the rest of the triune godhead?

In his sermon, “Kingdom Builders,” centered on Acts 4:32-5:11, Pastor Josiah answers these questions and others as he unpacks the story of Ananias and Sapphira and their deceitfulness.

As Christians, it is important that we remain united around the gospel and put God first in every aspect of our lives.
