    Welcome back to Sea Stories from the CoastWatchers Club! On this episode, we have our friend David Nelson joining us. David is the owner of the Braided River Brewing Company in downtown Mobile. Originally from North Carolina, David moved to Mobile and met Hobie while playing rugby for Battleship Rugby Club.

    We discuss the tiki beer from Braided River called Winter Crush. David goes through the process of coming up with the beer and the different ingredients. The group taste the beer and also comment about other tiki beers that they like. You can visit Braided River at www.braidedriverbrewing.com.

    Welcome back to Sea Stories from the CoastWatchers Club! On this episode, we have our friend Naude Gouws joining us. Naude is the owner of the Haberdasher cocktail bar in downtown Mobile. Originally from South Africa, Naude moved to the States in 1993 and met Hobie while playing rugby for Battleship Rugby Club.

    We discuss the recent Mobile Tiki Week that took place downtown and talk about what we liked about it and what we look forward to in the future of Mobile Tiki Week. 

    The cocktail of the episode is a classic: Royal Hawaiian Mai Tai & Bonus tasting of Myers's Single Barrel Rum aged in Sazerac Rye barrels.

    We discuss and compare the current Modern Tiki Boom with the original Tiki Bar Movement back in the 30s, 40s & 50s. We also ask Alyson some questions on her favorite tiki cocktails & bars.
