We are so excited to have Cessalee Stovall hanging out on the Play Haus Podcast this week! She is a performer, advocate, educator, human lover and all together power woman! Cessalee performed on stages all over America before finding her home in Melbourne, Australia, and starting her organisation 'Stage A Change', which supports and empowers performers, producers and educators to effect positive change in diversity and inclusion.
Scene 30 unravels what it means to be inclusive and gives us that push to be the change we want to see in the world. Having performed in America and Australia, Cessalee unpacks what it looks like to be an artist in both countries and details how she has learnt to navigate the arts while maintaining a healthy life/work balance. We hear all about Cessalee's organisation 'Stage A Change' and the incredible work she is doing in the space of diversity and inclusion, giving artists and organisations the tools they need to encourage positive change. "Live, Learn, Love" is Cessalee's mantra when deciding what to dedicate her time towards... and you'll have to listen to this episode to find out what she applies it to specifically.
