In this episode, we speak to Arlin Golden, a documentary film worker living in the San Francisco Bay Area. He has been curating and distributing documentary films as co-director of Video Project, an impact-oriented distributor of documentary films, for 10 years. For nearly as long he has been a short film programmer, working principally in his capacity as director and programmer of Drunken Film Festival, a free annual event that brings world-class festival quality films into the democratized social spaces of local bars. Join us October 4-11th for the 7th Annual Drunken Film Festival. Go to Drunken Film Fest for tickets and schedule.
Transmission Studio is a series of intimate conversations with the independent artists and community-based organizations living and working within the vibrant, complicated and ever-evolving ecosystem of San Francisco arts and culture. It aspires to inform, inspire and more importantly spark meaningful and critical dialogue on the state of the artists who remain committed to this city in spite of unprecedented social, economic and political challenges.
