  • It was 16th December 2012 in Munirka, a neighbourhood in South Delhi, when 23 year old Jyoti Singh and her friend Avnindra Pratap Pandey went to the cinema to watch The Life of Pi.

    On their way home, they decided to board a private bus, which had 5 other men on board. However, something soon felt wrong, when the bus driver turned off the lights, closed the doors, and drove off route.

    Not long later, the 5 men broke into an argument with Pandey, and after they beat him bloody, they dragged Jyoti to the back of the bus where they raped her, beat her, and pulled her intestines out....

    This is the devastating story of what happened to Jyoti Singh, also famously known as the Nirbhaya case.
