S3 Ep1: The Disturbing Reality of ARGs

  • Summary

  • As humanity evolves and grows, so does our range of abilities to tell stories. From our ancestors huddled around the campfire telling terrifying experiences to scare impressionable young children away from the darkness. A place where powerful predators lay in wait, to cautionary tales of what happens when we stray from the right path.

As time passed, our stories went from purely verbal to written in influential novels, performed on the stage, heard on the radio waves, experienced on the big screen, and, eventually, into our homes where we surf the web and play our video games.

That is the purpose of this new show, to showcase some of the darker stories within the gaming community, the mythos behind our favorite games, and the links to real-world horrors so many of them inhabit.

My name is Chelsea Rebecca; I am the co-host of the Dead Meat Podcast, a horror fan, and a gaming lover. I’m fascinated by the how and why behind all horror media, and tonight, I invite you to get comfy, stay alert and prepare to embark on a journey into The Dark Side Of Gaming.
