S2E7: Certified Dietitian and Nutritionist Drew Mulvey Discusses Amenorrhea & Under-eating

  • Summary

  • Certified Dietitian and Nutritionist Drew Mulvey joins Kirstin this week to discuss a very common issue for female athletes; under eating and amenorrhea (i.e. when you don't have your period). Drew walks us through her journey and how sport and a lack of knowledge in nutrition lead to an eating disorder and losing her period. But, sport is also what helped her overcome those challenges and became a big part of her choosing to go into nutrition as a career to help other female athletes. In this episode we dive into what her journey was like getting back to performing well, enjoying her training again and getting her period back.

    Host: Dr. Kirstin Lauritzen
