Welcome to the Melanated Homeschooling Families Podcast, powered by CTR Media Network and hosted by the dynamic Dr. Tina J Ramsay. In this episode, Dr. Ramsay is joined by two extraordinary guests, Nicole Doyle and Andrea Hall, who bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the discussion. Nicole Doyle Your job as a parent is to cultivate your child's gifts. Your child desires a "curated education" that equips, encourages, and empowers their future. A solution-oriented home education advocate, Nicole is focused on providing assistance that enables individual families to achieve their goals. As an HSLDA Georgia Ambassador and volunteer lobbyist, she works to ensure access to and secure resources that equip, encourage, and energize underserved families to realize the educational possibilities of homeschooling. Nicole has served her community in various educational roles including as a Science Olympiad Team Mentor, FIRST Robotics Coach & Mentor, and Bible Quizzing Team Coach. She currently supports her community as the President of DeKalb Christian Home Educators (DCHE), a homeschool cooperative serving metro Atlanta since 1989, and a Sponsor Chair/ Co-Founder of the Georgia Black Home Education Network, a collaboration to highlight diverse and culturally rich educational choices. Nicole is the wife of Willie Doyle, Jr., an Engineer by profession and the Science/ Math Instructor of their four children, including two homeschool graduates. The Doyles believe according to Psalms 1:3 that when they water their family in the Word of God, then the children will flourish. Andrea Hall Helping Families Homeschool with Confidence and Clarity Andrea Hall, at the heart of EPIC Homeschool Network, is a guiding light for homeschooling families seeking clarity and confidence. Her journey into the world of homeschooling began in 2008, when she first stepped into the role of a homeschool educator, successfully guiding triplets through fourth grade and a junior through high school graduation. In 2012, she embraced the homeschooling path for her own children, a decision that further fueled her dedication to this educational approach. With a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics Education from Oakwood University and a Master of Science in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment from Walden University, Andrea's academic background is robust. Her expertise is not just in theory; as a certified math educator, she actively engages in teaching and tutoring mathematics. Additionally, she channels her knowledge and creativity into developing curriculum materials, available in her Teachers Pay Teachers store. Andrea's life is beautifully balanced between her professional pursuits and her role as a wife to Damon Hall and a mother to three remarkable children. Her personal interests include indulging in restful sleep, losing herself in books, and expressing her thoughts through journaling. Understanding the challenges of homeschooling firsthand, Andrea is intimately familiar with the feelings of anxiety, lack of focus, and overwhelm that can accompany this educational journey. As a busy, working, homeschooling mom herself, she leverages her extensive experience and knowledge to offer unparalleled support and guidance to other homeschooling families. Andrea's mission is to light the path for these families, helping them navigate their homeschooling journey with clarity, confidence, and a sense of community. Visit georgiablackhomeeducators.org
