S.2 EP.4 - Hadestown (Original Broadway Cast Recording)

  • Summary

  • Your attention, please! Everyone take your seats and get ready for the forth episode of Season 2 of Inbetween The Grooves! In this episode, we'll be going to the theatre to listen to Hadestown. A musical that first came on the Broadway scene in 2019. Set in what appears to be depression era America, Hadestown takes two stories from the Greek mythos and adapts them into this setting. Originally a Folk Opera concept album of the same name in, Hadestown composer Anaïs Mitchell refines her piece to fit the big stage while maintaining its Folk Opera foundation. With intimate numbers, spine tingling harmonies, and a big band sound, Hadestown brings forth a musical Odyssey that you don't want to miss.
