S1E5 •Golphini's Pursuit (Chapter 4)

  • Summary

  • [SPOILERS] Moletown's Chief of Police ain't happy with Golphini’s progress on the Willoughby case, but little does he know that Golphini has Romanzo’s notebook, a potential piece of bigshot evidence. At the precinct, we meet Officer Matthews, Golphini's whiny deputy. He's meant to have a Brooklyn accent but it comes out as Southern. (Huber's fault). Golphini attempts to ask Wilhelmina out on another date, thinking the first was a success. He genuinely likes her but needs to also use her for the case. When she turns him down, Golphini devises a Plan B to get more info out from her. He ventures to the carnival and has his fortune read by Madame Goirée, Wilhelmina’s fortune-telling alter ego. However, what she says does not bode well for the inspector.
