S1 E2: The Murder of Eli Washtock

  • Summary

  • On January 31, 2019, Eli Washtock, an amateur sleuth looking into Michelle O’Connell’s death, was murdered in his condo.  A neighbor says that Washtock feared for his life. Prior to his murder, he told people he had a run-in with St Johns County Deputy Sheriff Jeremy Banks.  A neighbor says that Washtock feared for his life. “He knew that somebody was coming for him, so he rented the place downstairs, didn’t tell anybody, let his kids stay there,” Alec Laughlin said. “So he knew it was coming.”  Michelle O’Connell’s mother Patty, says that this was “a planned killing.”  John Taylor and Javier Leiva retrace Eli Washtock’s investigation to figure out what he learned and if his murder has any connection to Michelle O'Connell’s death.  A special thanks to: Our executive producer Advertisecast Ruby Rose Fox for allowing us to use her song, “Bury the Body,” during our intro.
